LUGPA's Houston Regional Meeting Focused on Ancillary Services  

On March 14-15, 2025, LUGPA hosted its Regional Meeting at the JW Marriott Houston by the Galleria. This intimate and engaging event brought together urologists, practice administrators, advanced practice providers, and key practice staff for a weekend of education, collaboration, and networking.

The meeting commenced with a lively Welcome Reception on Friday evening, providing attendees with the opportunity to connect with peers and industry leaders in a relaxed setting.

Saturday’s full-day agenda featured a diverse lineup of expert speakers and interactive discussions. Attendees explored key strategies for expanding ancillary services in urology, with insights from Dr. Benjamin Lowentritt and Dave Carpenter.

The day’s sessions covered essential practice management topics, including optimizing in-office dispensing, incorporating radiology services, and enhancing urology lab operations to improve patient care while maximizing revenue. Panel discussions facilitated valuable peer-to-peer dialogue.

A standout highlight was the session titled The Business Case to Expand Ancillary Services in Urology, presented by Dr. Benjamin Lowentritt and Dave Carpenter. This session provided actionable insights for practices looking to diversify revenue streams while improving patient care. Attendees appreciated the practical advice and real-world examples shared by the presenters.

Ample networking time, including exhibit hall breaks and open mic discussions, allowed attendees to share ideas and gain practical advice for improving their practices. Dr. Lowentritt's closing remarks emphasized the value of collaboration in navigating today’s complex healthcare landscape.
